Long before Brie Larson was the Oscar-winning actress and Marvel captain we love today, she made waves as a teen pop punk star. Larson revisted her love for music on Monday (Aug. 12) with a gorgeous cover of Ariana Grande‘s “God Is a Woman.”
“*~*ariana forever*~*,” she wrote in the caption. “(big big thank you to the legend @nancywilson for sending me her custom @gibsonguitar – I will never get over it ).”
The actress was signed in the mid-2000s to Casablanca Records by Mariah Carey’s star-making ex-husband Tommy Mottola. In 2005, Larson released her debut solo album, Finally Out of P.E., an angsty yet pop blend reminiscent of Avril Lavigne and Michelle Branch.
