Trained jazz pianist Martin Kohlstedt is focussed on pushing the creative limits of his instrument. His theory of “modular composing” combines a classical foundation with avant garde styles, expressed through a contemporary approach of improvisation, experimentation and synthesisation. He’s explored this boundaries of this technique through five albums in six years, while his work has also been reinterpreted by Christian Löffler, Panthera Krause and Douglas Dare and admired by TEDx, who invited him for a lecture in 2017 (below).
On 24th October, he performs live at Corsica Studios for Soundcrash. Buy tickets from the Corsica website.
