The 74-year-old rocker has been performing around the UK on his Blood Red Roses Tour. And last night performed the AEC Arena in Aberdeen. There he delighted fans by announcing more dates for his latest British tour. According to The Press and Journal, Sir Rod Stewart said: “Last night was a phenomenal sell-out show which I’m so glad we could make happen, so I’m delighted to tell you all that I’m coming back.”
He added: “You know I love performing in Scotland, so as well as my three shows down the road in Glasgow I’m coming to Aberdeen again too.
“It will be great to see you all again so get ready to party with me this December.”
This was later confirmed as a concert at Scotland’s newest and biggest indoor arena, P&J Live Aberdeen.
Sir Rod will perform there on December 7 during the November and December leg of his UK tour, following a string of US dates which are mainly in Las Vegas.
While the second added date is the third night at London’s O2 on December 20.
Announcing the extra dates, Sir Rod said: “We have had an absolute ball with the summer shows and I’ll be ready to do it all over again in November and December.
“We always love playing The O2 so I am delighted we’re able to add a third date and, of course, I love to head north of the border to Scotland so get ready to see me Aberdeen.
“We’ll be counting down to Christmas so what better way to start the holidays. Get ready to party!”
