Queen and Adam Lambert tour: Brian May ‘BLOWN AWAY’ by Korean fans at airport – WATCH | Music | Entertainment

The iconic collaboration continues their Rhapsody tour this weekend with two concerts in Seoul, South Korea.

Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor have already landed and were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a huge crowd of screaming fans.

The duo were particularly touched to see most of the fans were a new generation, perhaps having discovered Queen thanks to Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

May shared the fan welcome on his Instagram, where he admitted to being blown away by the reception as fans started singing We Are The Champions to him and Taylor.

The 72-year-old said: “THANKYOU !!! Dear Korean fans – what an amazing welcome for us arriving off the plane.

“Actually blew me away – I had no idea – no clue that this spontaneous reception would happen.

“Wow – screams like that take me back … so much love and emotion, and from a whole new generation.

“How lucky are we ? I wish there had been time to shake everybody’s hand and share hugs.”

After Queen and Adam Lambert have performed in South Korea this weekend, they’ll fly to Tokyo for four shows in Japan.

While February takes them to New Zealand followed by Australia.

After their Sydney show at ANZ Stadium, the band will take part in Fire Fight Australia, a charity gig at the same venue to raise funds after the recent wildfires.

Queen and Adam Lambert will then take a break before heading to Europe in May, with 10 nights at London’s O2 and two at Manchester Arena this June.

Recently, the compilers of Freddie Mercury: A Life, In His Own Words admitted that Bohemian Rhapsody had done wonders for Queen’s popularity.

Speaking on The Official Queen Podcast, Simon Lupton said: “When Bohemian Rhapsody came out, the interest in Freddie absolutely skyrocketed.

“I think what the movie did really well was give you a real sense of what kind of person Freddie was.

“And I think that got a lot of people, who perhaps didn’t know a lot about Queen or a lot about Freddie, really intrigued about him.”
