Day 18: Wild Flowers (Oyvind Morken x Kaman Leung)

Day 18 of our 2018 charity Advent Calendar, in aid of Julie’s BicycleListen to all this year’s donations.

Lesser known than some of his illustrious Norwegian peers, Øyvind Morken, has putting that right thanks to an unwavering and consistent ability to deliver supreme productions and deftly selected DJ sets.

Tag teaming here with studio-mate Kaman Leung this new track is part of series of collaborations under the moniker Wild Flowers. The cheekily titled Billig Jeans is an obvious nod to the MJ classic, playing on the Swedish for cheap jeans. A propulsive, classic electro weapon with a bright and modern polish, kitted out with nagging piano and fairground organ riffs, interplaying with punchy 808 breaks and washy, off kilter synths that sound like a woozy swarm of bees, looking for the perfect spot to practice their kick-ups.
